Getting started on any website

Last updated 2026-07-13

AgentReady monitors what ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and other assistants say about your business — on any website, not just Shopify. You sign up at joinagentready.com, add your URL, and AgentReady crawls your public pages to build a profile and run your first AI answer scan. This page walks through that flow and where Stripe billing fits.

Not ready to sign up yet? Run the free AI-readiness checker first — no account needed, and it works on any site.

On Shopify? Use the Shopify getting started guide instead — install from the App Store and bill through Shopify.

1. Sign up and add your URL

Go to app.joinagentready.com/signup?goal=monitor (or Start free from joinagentready.com). Create your account, then enter your website URL — the bare domain or homepage you want monitored (e.g. yourbrand.com).

AgentReady uses this URL as the root for crawling and for AI answer questions about your business.

2. Crawl your site

After you submit your URL, AgentReady crawls your public pages: homepage, key landing pages, about, product or service pages, and anything linked within normal reach. The crawl builds a site profile — what you sell, how you describe yourself, and what an assistant could learn from your live site.

The first crawl may take a few minutes depending on site size. You do not need to install anything on your server for monitoring-only plans.

3. Review your profile

When the crawl finishes, review the generated profile in the dashboard. Confirm your business name, positioning, and the pages AgentReady found. Fix anything that looks wrong before your first scan — the profile grounds the questions AgentReady asks assistants about you.

You can re-run a crawl later if your site changes materially.

4. Run your first AI answer scan

Trigger your first scan (or use the one-time free snapshot on the Free plan). AgentReady asks the buying and discovery questions your customers ask across supported engines, then reports:

  • Whether you're named, recommended, or cited
  • Sample answers and competitors mentioned
  • Prioritized recommendations for what to fix on your site

On paid plans, scans run on a schedule (weekly on Starter, daily on Growth and above). See AI answers for how measurement works.

5. Pick a Stripe plan

Any-website plans bill through Stripe, not the Shopify App Store:

PlanPriceSitesQuestionsCadence
Free$0112 (snapshot)One-time
Starter$29/mo125Weekly
Growth$79/mo350Daily
Pro$199/mo10150 pooledDaily
Agency$299/mo10 client sites200 pooledDaily

Full detail, annual billing, and trials are on plans and billing and the pricing page.

Upgrade when you want scheduled monitoring, history, fix recommendations, and digests — not just the one-time snapshot.

What to do next

  • Read AI answers — the main ongoing feature for this track, covering how scheduled scans, visibility, and citations are measured on any site.
  • Read the readiness score to understand how AgentReady grades your site.
  • Connect Google Search Console from the dashboard when you're on a paid plan.
  • Selling on Shopify too? You can use the Shopify App Store track on the same brand — billing stays separate per track.

A few other docs (structured data, catalog quality, Shopify Sidekick) describe Shopify-specific features and won't all apply to a non-Shopify site — AI answers, the readiness score, and agents.md and llms.txt are the ones written for any website.
