AgentReady

Schema conflicts

Two answers to one question is how machines get it wrong

Themes, review apps, and SEO apps each write their own structured data. When two blocks describe the same product differently, a machine has no way to know which one to trust. AgentReady finds the competing blocks on your live pages and tells you where each one came from.

Detection happens on the live page

AgentReady fetches your storefront the way an AI crawler does and reads every JSON-LD block it finds, not just its own. It can tell its own output apart from markup written by your theme or another app, because its blocks carry provenance it can verify.

Not every duplicate is harmful. Two consistent copies of the same fact are untidy, not dangerous. The findings that deserve attention are material disagreements: price, availability, currency, product identity, variant identity, reviews, shipping, and returns.

Resolve it yourself, or ask us to

Most conflicts resolve with one switch: disable the theme or app setting that writes the competing block, and keep one authoritative source. The app's schema issues queue lists what it found so you can work through it.

If you would rather not touch it, you can request cleanup from us. That is a service we perform with your approval, never a fee required to make AgentReady function.

After the fix, the crawl confirms it

Removing a competing block is only done when the live page shows it gone. AgentReady re-fetches your storefront and reports what it observed, with the date. If it cannot reach the page, it says so instead of guessing.

Frequently asked questions

Is every duplicate schema block a problem?

No. Duplicate and consistent blocks are untidy but usually harmless. The ones worth fixing disagree on material facts like price, availability, or product identity. AgentReady reserves urgent language for those.

How does AgentReady know which markup is its own?

Its published blocks carry provenance it verifies on the live page. A crawl that finds Product markup does not assume it is AgentReady's; it checks.

Will AgentReady edit my theme to remove conflicts?

No. AgentReady never edits your theme. It shows you where the competing block comes from so you can switch it off at the source, or you can request cleanup as a service and approve the plan first.
